Ingredients
- Roasted peanuts - 1.5 cups
- Besan - 1/2 cup
- Rice flour - 1/4 cup
- Red chilly powder - 1/2 tsp
- Black pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
- Aamchoor powder - 1/2 tsp
- Asafoetida powder - 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Salt - to taste
- Water - 1/2 to 1 cup
- Oil - to deep fry
- Salt - to taste
- Mix in all the above mentioned ingredients evenly coating the peanuts; allow to dry for about half an hour.
- Heat oil in a wok on medium flame, sprinkle a handful of peanuts in to the hot oil one by one.
- Reduce flame to low & deep fry until golden brown.
- Remove and drain on to kitchen tissues.
- Serve along with a cup of hot tea or coffee.
- Masala peanuts become crisp only at room temperature.
- Can also use raw peanuts for the recipe.
- Store in a dry, air tight container for future use.
