Grinding Equipment: Indian Mixie ~ Small dry grinding jar
Yields: 1.25 cups of Coconut Milk
Ingredients
- Fresh grated coconut (tightly packed) - 1 cup
- Water - 1/2 + 1/2 + 1/4 cup
- Large sized stainless steel mesh strainer
- Tea strainer / Cloth strainer / Ordinary muslin cloth
- Grind fresh grated coconut in a mixie adding half cup water for about 2 to 3 min.
- Strain & collect the first thick coconut milk by squeezing the ground coconut pulp using your palm.
- Grind the coconut pulp once gain adding half cup water in a mixie for about 2 to 3 min.
- Strain & collect the second coconut milk by squeezing the ground coconut pulp using your palm.
- Grind the coconut pulp once gain adding quarter cup water in a mixie for about 2 to 3 min.
- Strain & collect the third thin coconut milk by squeezing the ground coconut pulp using your palm.
- Stir well the collected coconut milk using a tablespoon.
- Strain once again finally through a tea strainer.
- Store in a clean, dry plastic jar/container or Tupperware tumblers & refrigerate for further use.
