Sambhar Podi

Storage ~ Stock
To grind in ~ Flour mill

Ingredients
  1. Toor dhal - 250 gms
  2. Dhania - 250 gm + 100 gm
  3. Red chillies - 250 gm
  4. Black peppercorns - 20 gm
  5. Cumin seeds - 20 gm
  6. Fenugreek seeds - 20 gm
  7. Turmeric powder - 50 gm
  8. Dry ginger powder - 20 gm
Method
  1. Dry roast all ingredients separately, cool & grind in a flour mill.
  2. Transfer small quantity in to a dry, air tight container for further use & store the rest.
Storage ~ 15 to 20 days
Grinding Equipment ~ Dry grinding mixie jar - Small jar

Ingredients
  1. Toor dhal - 2 tbsp
  2. Dhania - 2.5 tbsp
  3. Red chillies - 6
  4. Black peppercorns - 1 tsp
  5. Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  6. Fenugreek seeds - 1 tsp
  7. Turmeric powder - 2 tsp
  8. Dry ginger powder - 1 tsp
Method
  1. Dry roast all ingredients separately, cool & grind in a flour mill.
  2. Store in a dry, air tight container for further use.
NOTE
  • Always use a dry spoon.
