How to Slice a Pineapple?

All you need
  1. A large knife
  2. A short knife
  3. A vegetable peeler
Ripe Pineapple
  1. A pineapple is ripe when the stalk smells sweet, it is firm and there are no dents.
  2. A pineapple does not ripen once it is cut from the tree.
Pineapple Slicing I
  1. Take your large knife and cut off the top, including the stalk.
  2. Turn the pineapple and cut off the end.
  3. Stand up the pineapple and slice off the skin; don't worry if you miss a few spots.
Pineapple Peeling
  1. With a vegetable peeler, remove leftover skin.
  2. With the tip of your peeler, push into the pineapple to get the deeper knots.
  3. Keep peeling until you feel like your pineapple's ready.
Pineapple Slicing II
  1. Lay down the pineapple holding it horizontally .
  2. With your large knife make round slices however thick you want them.
  3. With your short knife, cut out the middle core of the slice, then pop it out with your fingers.
  4. For bite size pieces, take your large knife and cut three or four times across the cored slices.
