Step by Step Demo ~ How to store Mint Leaves?

Separate leaves from the stem & discard stale from the fresh.

Spread fresh leaves in a wide plate, allow to dry for about 15 min; ensure that there are no traces of water.

Spread a clean, dry handkerchief as shown above & pile up the fresh leaves on it.

Bring all the four corners together and wrap them up.

Store in an air tight container.

Seal tightly with lid.

Refrigerate, wash & use whilst cooking.

NOTE

  • This method of storage retains the flavor & aroma of the leaves for about a WEEK.

  1. It depends! I do not like to use the stems for cooking as leaves impart more fresh aroma..so if you like to use the stems you can follow the same procedure just discarding the lower half.
