How to prepare Jaggery Syrup?

Prep Time: 15 to 20 min

  1. Jaggery - 1/2 kg
  2. Water - 1/4 cup
  1. Crush jaggery to bits & pieces.
  2. Add jaggery pieces and water to a kadai.
  3. Heat until all the jaggery is completely dissolved.
  4. Strain to remove impurities.
  5. Cool & store in a food grade plastic container.
  6. Refrigerate for further use.
  • Strain the jaggery when it's medium hot; else it becomes too thick to strain.
  • Use a plastic strainer along with netted cloth for best results.
